Customer Responsibilities

Mobile removal or a vehicle arriving by tow?

These visits require advance confirmation and a separate service-center convenience fee, not a LifeSafer charge. Towed vehicles must be delivered inside our building with staff present at an agreed time. Review what the fees cover, exclusions and delivery requirements.

Choose your ongoing service center

Before requesting installation, choose the center you expect to return to throughout your program. We seek an ongoing relationship covering installation, routine service and practical support through authorized completion. If you plan to use another location regularly, we recommend arranging installation there. If you are transferring from another center, contact us first so we can review the device, service history and ongoing support needed.

A ready vehicle and complete information help prevent delays, repeat visits and unexpected costs.

Am I ready?

0 of 8 ready

Before the appointment

  • Confirm the appointment and service type.
  • Provide requested program and vehicle information.
  • Bring required identification, authorization and vehicle keys.
  • Make sure the vehicle starts, runs and has adequate fuel.
  • Disclose warning lights, battery problems, remote-start systems, aftermarket electronics or recent repairs.

At the appointment

  • Arrive at the confirmed time or contact us promptly if delayed.
  • Allow enough time for intake, vehicle checks and required paperwork.
  • Do not ask technicians to bypass program or safety requirements.

After service

  • Follow operating instructions and scheduled calibration requirements.
  • Keep the vehicle battery maintained.
  • Report device, vehicle or drivability concerns promptly.
  • Do not disconnect, modify or permit unauthorized work on the system.

Diagnostic responsibility

Interlock work can involve battery disconnection and sensitive vehicle electronics. If warning lights or stored codes appear, appropriate scanning or diagnosis may be necessary to document the vehicle condition and protect safe operation.

Vehicle-condition review and additional work

For safety and documentation, we record disclosed warning lights, drivability concerns, battery or charging issues, and aftermarket electrical equipment before installation. The installation process may require a battery power-down and reconnection. If this reveals warning lights, fault codes, or communication issues that require evaluation, we will explain the condition before performing any work outside the standard interlock service.

Standard service does not include unrelated vehicle diagnosis, repair, programming, calibration, battery or charging-system work, wiring investigation, or additional materials. Any separately chargeable work will be disclosed and requires your authorization before it begins.

Ready when you are.
