Mobile removal or a vehicle arriving by tow?
These visits require advance confirmation and a separate service-center convenience fee, not a LifeSafer charge. Towed vehicles must be delivered inside our building with staff present at an agreed time. Review what the fees cover, exclusions and delivery requirements.
LifeSafer appointments must be confirmed by our location
All appointments scheduled through LifeSafer.com, a LifeSafer portal or the LifeSafer call center for our location must also be confirmed directly by St. Paul Ignition Interlock. A LifeSafer booking message or reminder does not, by itself, confirm our location's availability for the requested service and time.
Contact us directly to confirm the date, time, service, vehicle requirements and any agreed deposit before traveling to our location. If the time shown by LifeSafer differs from the time we have confirmed, contact us and LifeSafer promptly so the discrepancy can be resolved.
Do not ignore a calibration date, service deadline, device warning or program requirement while waiting for confirmation. Contact your device provider promptly if a required visit is approaching or you need urgent device support. This local confirmation process does not change your provider's or program's requirements.
Call 651-292-1485 or text our service center to confirm.
Choose your ongoing service center
Before requesting installation, choose the center you expect to return to throughout your program. We seek an ongoing relationship covering installation, routine service and practical support through authorized completion. If you plan to use another location regularly, we recommend arranging installation there. If you are transferring from another center, contact us first so we can review the device, service history and ongoing support needed.
All appointments must be confirmed before service time is reserved.
How confirmation works
- Request the service and provide the participant name, phone number, email address, vehicle year, make and model, and the type of interlock service needed.
- We review program authorization, vehicle requirements and scheduling availability.
- Your appointment is confirmed after required information and any applicable deposit are received.
Important
An unconfirmed appointment may not be serviced. Same-day, unscheduled, after-hours, mobile or emergency callback requests may carry a convenience fee and are subject to availability.
Cancellation and no-show policy
Reserved time and facility capacity have real costs. A no-show fee may apply when a confirmed appointment is missed. Rescheduling at least one business day in advance generally avoids a convenience surcharge, subject to the terms provided at confirmation.
Pre-Screening Request
Use this form to request an appointment for staff review. Include the service needed and any vehicle concerns so we can verify program status, vehicle suitability, and scheduling availability before confirming service.
This request does not reserve an appointment, grant driving privilege, approve a vehicle, or constitute a safety inspection. We will review the request and contact you about next steps, availability, and any applicable deposit or separately disclosed charge. Do not upload driver-license images, DVS notices, insurance cards, payment information, or other sensitive documents using this form.
Applying for reduced-fee status? Please complete the reduced-fee approval process before requesting an appointment. Approved reduced-fee requests are reviewed for Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–noon, with one reduced-fee morning slot per day. Staff must verify approval and confirm that the slot is available.
Staff review and appointment confirmation
Submitting this form is a request only. Service is not confirmed until we verify availability, required information, and any applicable deposit or separately disclosed charge.
DVS and the device manufacturer, not St. Paul Ignition Interlock, control program eligibility, driving privilege, installation or removal authorization, and required actions. Arrange transportation only in a way that is legally permitted. An interlock installation is not a safety inspection and does not certify that the vehicle is safe to drive.
Late, unscheduled, special-request, after-hours, mobile, early-recall, lockout, and additional vehicle-readiness work may be subject to separately disclosed charges and availability.
Vehicle readiness and possible additional work
Please bring a vehicle that starts, runs, and can be safely moved. Tell us about warning lights, drivability concerns, battery or charging problems, recent repairs, remote-start systems, and aftermarket electrical equipment before your appointment.
Standard interlock service does not include unrelated vehicle diagnosis or repair. If conditions require diagnostic scanning, battery or charging-system testing, wiring investigation, programming, calibration, materials, or added labor, we will explain the reason and obtain your authorization before performing separately chargeable work.
ADAS and safety-system conditions
Clearing a code or warning light does not correct its underlying cause. ADAS, airbag, braking, restraint, collision-avoidance, safety-system, or manufacturer-specific faults may require dealer or qualified-specialist diagnosis, programming, calibration, or repair. If you ask us to trace a vehicle issue after installation, post-install diagnostic tracing is $199. Dealer or specialist work is separate from ignition-interlock service.
